- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Dr. Nicholas is one of the most compassionate doctors you will ever find. He will fight your case against your insurance company and as long as you are honest with him having a patient/Dr relationship is very easy. His job isn't easy and made harder every day by DEA either restricting the medicine he may authorize entirely and/or the amounts. It is as frustrating to him as it is the patient. He knows the pain level of his patients and realizes that there are some patients he isn't being able to help to his maximum capability from interference from DEA who while having their own agenda doesn't have a clue about the patients they are dictating instructions Dr. Nicholas, who has no choice but to follow. To show how much I like, trust and appreciate Dr. Nicholas even though BCBS isn't accepted, although he tried, and that's my insurance, I stayed with him paying out of pocket and driving from Chesapeake VA to Kill Devil Hills NC to remain a patient.
